KSET Eligibility 2024
The KSET eligibility 2024 require candidates to realize a minimal of 55% marks (normal class) or 50% (SC/ST/PWD/OBC) in their Master’s Degree from a UGC-recognized college. There’s no age restrict or try restriction. Indian nationality is necessary. Skilled work expertise is just not required. Exemptions apply for UGC-NET/CSIR JRF previous to 1989 and SET accredited by UGC earlier than June 1, 2002.

KSET Educational Qualification 2024
KSET is an exam conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for the post of Assistant Professor in universities and faculties of Karnataka. The exam has special eligibility criteria that candidates must fulfill to appear for the exam. Here are the details of KSET academic qualification 2024.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding) for the final class in their Master Diploma or equivalent examination from a UGC-recognized college and 50% for SC, ST, PWD and OBC categories.
- Currently Pursuing Degree: Candidates who are currently pursuing their Master Diploma or equivalent course or who have appeared in their final year examination and are awaiting results can apply provisionally. However, they must submit proof of having passed the Master Diploma with the required percentage within two years of the KSET result, else their candidature will be disqualified.
- Subject Eligibility: Candidates must appear for KSET in the subject of their postgraduate. If their subject is not listed, they can appear for UGC-NET/UGC-CSIR NET instead.
- Exemption for PhD holders: PhD. Diploma holders whose Master’s level examination was completed before September 19, 1991, can avail 5% relaxation in aggregate marks (from 55% to 50%) for appearing in SET.
- submit a valid category certificate issued by the competent authorities by the last date of submission. In case of invalid certificate, their candidature will be cancelled, and they may face legal action.
- OBC Candidates from Other States: OBC candidates from states other than Karnataka will be treated as General Benefit (GM) as per the reservation policy of the Government of Karnataka.
- Candidacy Provisional: The candidature of the candidates is provisional, and it is necessary to fulfil the eligibility conditions. If any ineligibility is found at any stage, the KSET authority reserves the right to cancel the candidature.
- Previously Qualified Candidates: Candidates who have been declared qualified in earlier KSET examinations are not allowed to apply again for the same subject. If they are found qualified in the current KSET for the same subject, their previous eligibility will be withdrawn.
- Equivalence of Foreign Degree: Candidates holding international degrees/diplomas/certificates must confirm the equivalence of their qualification with Master’s degree from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi (www.aiu.ac.in).
KSET Age Limit 2024
Candidates must follow the KSET age limit guidelines as they decide whether a person can appear for the exam or not. To apply for the exam, you must fulfill all the conditions of KSET eligibility 2024. In the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET), there is no age restriction for candidates. Candidates of any age can appear for the KSET exam as long as they meet the minimum educational qualifications.
KSET Number of Attempts
The exam authority has not set any fixed limit for the number of attempts a candidate can take in the KSET exam. As per the KSET eligibility criteria, candidates are allowed to take the KSET exam as many times as they want without any restrictions.
KSET Nationality 2024
Candidates must fulfil the nationality requirements for the KSET 2024 exam. If a candidate does not fulfil these requirements, he/she will not be able to apply. KSET Exemption Criteria 2024
The Karnataka State Eligibility Test is a mandatory requirement for the recruitment and appointment of assistant professors in many higher education institutions across the state of Karnataka. However, there are special exemptions for candidates who have passed specific exams or fulfilled certain conditions.
- Candidates who have passed UGC-NET/CSIR JRF exam prior to 1989 are exempted from appearing in KSET exam.
- For SET candidates, those who have passed UGC recognized State Eligibility Test (SET) for eligibility of Assistant Professor held before 1st June 2002 are exempted from appearing in KSET and are eligible to apply for Assistant Professor posts anywhere in India.
- For SET held after 1st June 2002, certified candidates are eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Professor only in Universities/Schools situated in the same State from where they have passed their SET.
