Justice Bidyut Ranjan Sarangi Appointed Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court
Justice Bidyut Ranjan Sarangi has been appointed Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court, succeeding Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra, who will retire on December 28, 2023. His appointment was recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium in December last year and was officially announced by the Union Ministry of Law and Justice on July 3.
LIC Chairman Siddhartha Mohanty Re-Designated Managing Director & CEO
State-owned life insurance company Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) has reappointed its Chairman Siddhartha Mohanty as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director from June 30, 2024. It is not yet known whether the life insurance company will appoint a new chairman or not.

The National Pension System (NPS) witnessed a robust growth of 40.1% year-on-year, reaching ₹2.47 lakh crore as of June 29, mainly due to a rally in stock markets and rising private sector subscriptions. According to PFRDA data, total NPS assets, including the Atal Pension Yojana (APY), reached ₹12.5 lakh crore, marking a growth of 28.64%.
