  • OR, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
  • OR, Graduation (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed/L.T./Shiksha Shastri (Regular)), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations
  • OR, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
  • OR, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed
  • OR, Graduation (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of B.Ed.
  • Shiksha Mitra passed Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.), from IGNOU.
  • Note: B.Ed Candidates can apply for both UTET Paper 1 & 2.

UTET Eligibility 2024 for Paper 2

The UTET exam is mandatory for candidates who wish to become teachers in private or government schools in Uttarakhand. To be eligible for teaching posts in upper primary classes (classes VI-VIII), candidates must fulfil the following UTET eligibility criteria for Paper 2:

  • Complete a two-year Diploma in Education (B.T.C/ D.EL.Ed) and be in the final year of the program or have already graduated.
  • OR, Graduate with a minimum of 45% marks and complete a one-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed/L.T/Shiksha Shastri) program in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations.
  • OR, Complete a four-year Bachelor in Education (B.EL.ED) program and be in the final year of the program or have already graduated.
  • OR, Graduate with a minimum of 50% marks and complete a one-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed/L.T/Shiksha Shastri) program.
  • OR, Complete a four-year B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.Sc.Ed program and be in the final year of the program or have already graduated.
  • OR, Graduate with a minimum of 50% marks and complete a one-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) program in Special Education.
  • Note: B.Ed Candidates can apply for both UTET Paper 1 & 2.

UTET Age Limit 2024
