TNPSC Group 2 Exam Date 2024 Out : Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has released the Group 2 exam notification including PDF and online application for 2327 Group 2 and 2A vacancies on 20 June 2024. The aim of this exam is to recruit individuals for various posts under Group 2 and Group 2A services in the state. The TNPSC Group 2 and 2A (Combined) Civil Services Preliminary Exam will be held on 14 September 2024 and will serve as a gateway for both interview and non-interview posts within Group II services.

TNPSC Group 2 Selection Process
The selection process for the TNPSC Group 2 exam is extensive, consisting of three distinct stages to ensure a thorough assessment of the skills and abilities of candidates. First, candidates must pass the preliminary exam, which is objective in nature, which serves as the initial screening stage.
Candidates who successfully clear this stage move on to the main exam, where they face descriptive questions designed to assess their comprehensive understanding of the topics covered. Finally, candidates who qualify the main exam move on to the interview, where their communication skills, subject knowledge, and overall suitability are assessed. The aim of this multi-stage selection process is to identify the most competent and qualified candidates.

TNPSC Group 2 Exam Pattern
There have been changes in the TNPSC Group 2 exam with the introduction of the Tamil Language Eligibility Test in the preliminary exam. Now, candidates have to choose between 100 multiple-choice questions testing their knowledge of Tamil or opting for the General English section instead. These questions are based on SSLC standards. You get 3 hours to finish the exam, and you need at least 90 marks to pass the preliminary exam and move on to the next stages. In total, the exam has 200 questions carrying 300 marks.
