As mentioned in the SSC Calendar 2024, the official notification PDF for SSC CGL 2024 exam will be released tentatively on 11th June 2024 at www.ssc.gov.in. For candidates who are graduates and looking for a well-established government job in various ministries and departments of the Government of India and its subordinate offices, SSC CGL exam is for them. Since last 2 years, SSC has changed the selection process and now only two tier examinations will be conducted to shortlist the candidates for various Group B and C posts released under SSC CGL Notification 2024.

What is included in SSC CGL Notification 2024?

The commission will be releasing SSC CGL Notification 2024 online in PDF format which will include all the necessary information regarding the exam. To be precise, the following details are to be shared by the officials through the notification pdf:

Important Dates

Along with the date of release of notification, the online registration process and Tier 1 exam month schedule has also been notified. Candidates possessing the required eligibility criteria and falling in the age group to apply for SSC CGL 2024 exam must submit their applications online from June 11 to July 10, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria for SSC CGL 2024 Exam

Not everyone can appear in the SSC CGL Exam, as the commission has set parameters for minimum eligibility criteria including education qualifications, age limit, and nationality. As per the last year’s notification, the eligibility criteria is as follows-

1. Education Qualification

• For Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer- Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University and CA/CS/MBA/Cost &  Management Accountant/ Masters in Commerce/ Masters in Business Studies.
• For Junior Statistical Officer (JSO)- Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University with a minimum 60% in Mathematics in Class 12th
  or in any discipline with Statistics as one of the subjects in graduation.
• For Statistical Investigator Grade-II- Graduation Degree from any recognized University with Economics Statistics or Mathematics as a compulsory or Elective Subject.
• For Research Assistant in National Human Rights Commission (NHRC)- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute with a minimum one year research experience in any recognized university or recognized Research Institution.
• For Remaining posts- Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University.

3. Nationality- A candidate must be a citizen/subject of either India/Nepal/Bhutan/a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.

SSC CGL Selection Process 2024

SSC CGL 2024 Examination will be conducted in four tiers as indicated below:

1.1 Tier-I: Computer-Based Examination (Qualifying in nature).

1.2 Tier-II: Paper I (Compulsory for all posts), Paper II for candidates who apply for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and Paper III for candidates who apply for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer.

• All candidates who have applied successfully for the SSC CGL exam, will be assigned Roll numbers and Admit Cards for appearing in the Computer-Based Examination (Tier-I).

• Based on the marks scored in Tier-I, candidates will be shortlisted, category-wise, to appear in Tier-II and Tier-III Examinations.

• Separate cut-offs will be released separately for Paper-II of Tier-II (i.e. for the post of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO), Paper-III of Tier-II (i.e. for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer and Assistant Accounts Officer) and for Paper-I of Tier-II (i.e. for all other posts).

• Tier-II Examinations will be conducted for all the candidates qualified in Tier-I.

• In Tier II, all the candidates will be required to appear in Paper-I, II and Paper-III. However, only specific candidates shortlisted for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) and Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer will be required to appear in Paper-II and Paper-III respectively.

SSC CGL 2024 Exam Pattern

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has revised the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam pattern. The Examination will be conducted in 2 tiers as indicated below:
