SBI PO Mains Exam Pattern 2024
Candidates who meet the required cut-off in SBI prelims will be eligible for the mains exam. There are adjustments in the mains section with increased weightage of general economy/banking awareness and the duration of the exam will be 3 hours. The descriptive exam has a duration of half an hour with 50 marks. This exam is conducted to test the writing skills of the candidates through letter writing and essay writing.

- This most important paper may have 4 sections for a complete of 200 marks.
- The period of the SBI PO Mains Exam will likely be 3 hours.
- The target check may have separate timing for each part.
- There will be no sectional cut-off. There will only be a general cut-off.
- There will likely be a penalty of 0.25 marks for each incorrect A number of Alternative Query.

SBI PO Syllabus 2024
SBI PO Descriptive Test
The descriptive paper lasting 30 minutes and carrying 50 marks tests the English skills of the candidates through letter writing and essay writing. After qualifying the preliminary and main exams, candidates move on to the interview section of the SBI PO exam. The final merit list is determined on the basis of the marks obtained in both the main exam and the interview.
SBI PO Interview 2024
Psychometric Test- The Bank may conduct psychometric tests for character profiling of the candidates who will be shortlisted for Section III. The findings of the test may also be placed before the interview panel to form a deeper opinion about the candidates.
This is the final stage of selection for the successful candidates who qualify for the first two stages of the SBI PO exam. Group communication is of 20 marks while the interview is of 30 marks.
- The total marks of all the candidates who qualify both the objective tests and descriptive test will be arranged in descending order in each category.
- The determined variety of candidates in every class, as ruled by the Bank will likely be known as for Group Workouts and interviews.
- The qualifying marks in Group Dialogue & Interview will likely be as determined by the Financial institution.
SBI PO 2024 Final Choice
The final score for SBI PO exam is calculated taking into account the below factors:
- Marks obtained in Preliminary Examination (Stage-1) will not be considered for selection.
- Candidates have to qualify for Section-2 and Section-3 separately to be eligible.
- Marks obtained by the candidates in SBI PO Mains Exam (out of 250 marks) are converted to out of 75 and marks obtained in Group Exercises and Interview (out of 50 marks) are converted to out of 25.
- This gives the new total score (Mains + GD/PI) of 100.
- The combined marks out of 100 are used for the final merit list for each category. Candidates with higher merit rank in each category are finally selected.
