SBI Clerk Selection Process 2024 Details
SBI Clerk Selection Process is conducted to select candidates for Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) posts. Thus, every candidate who wishes to apply for this opportunity is requested to pass each stage under the SBI Clerk Selection Process to successfully secure the seat. SBI Clerk Selection Process 2024 has three stages which are given below.

SBI Clerk Selection Process 2024 – Prelims Phase
The SBI Clerk prelims exam is an online objective test of 100 marks and 60 Minutes duration.
- There is a sectional time limit in the SBI Clerk preliminary exam. In the exam, there will be separate time of 20 minutes for each section i.e. Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability and English Language.
- There is no sectional cutoff in the prelims exam.Â
- The aspirants will get a deduction of 1/4th marks for the incorrect answer.

SBI Clerk Selection Process – Mains Phase
The number of candidates to be shortlisted for SBI Clerk Mains will be decided by SBI. In each category, approximately 10 times the number of vacancies will be selected for the Mains stage.
- In the Mains examination, there is no Sectional Cut off) for each section.
- There is the requirement of the overall cutoff for the SBI Clerk Mains Exam. The candidates are required to score minimum percentage marks on aggregate.
- The aspirants will get a deduction of 1/4th marks for the incorrect answer.

The merit list of successful candidates in SBI Clerk Mains will be prepared States and Category wise.
SBI Clerk Selection Process – Language Proficiency Test
- The candidates who will qualify SBI Clerk Mains Examination will be eligible for the next phase of recruitment i.e Local Language Test.
- Candidates who can produce 10th or 12th certificate proving that they have studied the opted local language are not required to appear in the language test.
- In case of others (eligible for selection), a test in the specified opted local language will be conducted after provisional selection but before joining. Candidates not found proficient in the specified opted local language will be disqualified.
SBI Clerk 2024 Provisional Selection
State Bank of India will upload the provisional merit list after the candidate successfully clears all the three stages. The SBI Clerk provisional merit list will be released category and state wise. SBI will give postings to the candidates as per the preference of states and cities given by them during the SBI Clerk registration process. After completing the joining process, candidates will not be transferred for the next 5 years.
SBI Clerk Waiting List
SBI Clerk waiting list is valid for 1 year from the date of declaration of SBI Clerk result. Candidates will be released from the waiting list on quarterly basis when vacancies are available only in case of non-joining or resignation by candidates of the current batch.
SBI Clerk Probation Period
Selected candidates will be required to serve a 6-month probationary period and during that period employees will be required to complete 15 authorized e-lessons.
- If the aspirants will fail to complete the 15 allotted e-lessons, then the probation period will be automatically extended.
- Once the allotted e-lessons are completed, the performance of the newly appointed clerks will be assessed as per the SBI Clerk Junior Associate selection process.
