RRB JE Selection Process 2024: The four important stages of the RRB JE selection process 2024 are CBT 1, CBT 2, Medical Exam and Document Verification (DV). Candidates must successfully clear each of these stages to be appointed by RRB as a Junior Engineer. These stages are administered by RRBs in Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3, Phase 4.

The RRB JE selection process 2024 consists of four stages, each of which plays a vital role in the selection of candidates. Phase 1 (Computer-Based Test I). Phase 2 (Computer-Based Test II). Successful candidates then proceed to Phase 3 (Document Verification), which is an important stage to verify the authenticity of the candidate’s documents.

Stage 1: RRB JE CBT 1

The first stage of the RRB JE Selection Process 2024, known as Computer-Based Test 1 (CBT 1), it is the important stage where candidates’ knowledge and skills are check through Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). CBT 1 is divided into four separate subjects: Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Science.

Stage 2: RRB JE CBT 2

The second stage of the RRB JE selection process 2024, known as Computer-Based Test 2 (CBT 2), is the next important stage for candidates who have successfully qualified in CBT 1. CBT 2 is also a multiple choice question (MCQ) type exam.

This stage covers various subjects including mathematics, physics, chemistry, basics of computer application, basics of environment and population control, and technical abilities. Candidates are allotted 2 hours to complete this test.

Stage 3: RRB JE Document Verification

The third stage within the RRB JE Selection Process is a important step where candidates are required to present a set of essential documents. Details of Documents are given below:

Caste Certificate
Income Certificate
Medical Certificate
Minority Declaration on Non-judicial Stamp Paper
No Objection Certificate (NOC) from serving employees or ex-servicemen

Stage 4: RRB JE Medical Examination

The stage four is a important step in RRB JE Selection Process ensuring that candidates meet the necessary physical standards for the role of a Junior Engineer within the RRB. This examination ensures that candidates are physically fit in all respects and capable of fulfilling the demands of the role. These are divided into some different categories:

(a) A-3:

  • Visual Standards: Distance Vision of 6/9, 6/9 with or without glasses (power of lenses not exceeding 2D).
  • Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses.
  • Candidates must also pass tests for Colour Vision, Binocular Vision, Field of Vision, and Night Vision.

(b) B-1:

  • Visual Standards: Distance Vision of 6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses (power of lenses not exceeding 4D).
  • Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or performing close work.
  • Candidates must also pass tests for Colour Vision, Binocular Vision, Field of Vision, and Night Vision.

(c) B-2:

  • Physically fit in all respects.
  • Visual Standards: Distance Vision of 6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses (power not exceeding 4D).
  • Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or performing close work.
  • Candidates must also pass a test for Field of Vision.

(d) C-1:

  • Physically fit in all respects.
  • Visual Standards: Distance Vision of 6/12, 6/18 with or without glasses.
  • Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or performing close work.
