RBI Grade B Exam 2024

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will release the official notification regarding the Grade B Officer vacancies. The post-wise vacancies along with the online registration dates and exam dates will be indicated through the RBI Grade B Notification 2024. RBI Grade B Vacancy 2024

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is going to announce the number of vacancies to be filled through the RBI Grade B Exam 2024 along with the detailed RBI Grade B Notification 2024. The vacancy details for RBI Grade B DR (General/DEPR/DSIM) will be notified category-wise and post-wise. Last year, 291 vacancies were filled and it is expected that this year number could be increased.

RBI Grade B Apply Online 2024

The online registration process for RBI Grade B posts is expected to start after 18th July 2024, interested candidates will be able to fill their application form through https://www.rbi.org.in/. Candidates will also be provided with a direct link to apply for RBI Grade B Recruitment 2024 once the registration officially starts. All the interested candidates should note that the officials will call only those candidates to appear for the selection process whose online form will be correct and as per the terms and conditions of the Reserve Bank of India.

Application Fees for RBI Grade B 2024

While filling out RBI Grade B Application Form 2024, candidates will be required to pay an application fee through online payment mode. Candidates must note that Reserve Bank of India will not accept any application without a prescribed fee. Those belonging to the General/EWS and Other Backward Classes will have to pay Rs. 850/- and those who are from SC/ST and PwBD categories will pay Rs. 100/-.

Note:- RBI Staff are exempted from paying application fees.

Eligibility Criteria for RBI Grade B 2024

Every candidate must meet certain eligibility criteria prescribed by RBI for Reserve Bank of India Recruitment 2024, including age limit and educational qualifications as parameters. For the upcoming recruitment drive, details regarding eligibility requirements will be mentioned in RBI Grade B Notification 2024.

Age Limit (As on 01/01/2024)

Candidates who are at least a minimum of 21 years of age as on 1st January 2024 and not more than 30 years are eligible to apply for General, DSIM, and DEPR posts under RBI Grade B Recruitment 2024. It is advised that candidates must provide correct information regarding their age limit otherwise they will be disqualified. Authorities will also provide age relaxations of a few years for reserved categories. For example, OBC candidates will get 3 years of relaxation in the upper age limit and SC/ST candidates will get 5 years of age relaxation.

Educational Qualifications

Those who have completed their Bachelor’s degree or graduation degree from a university recognized by UGC are eligible to apply for various Grade B posts under RBI Recruitment 2024. All the candidates will need to upload a certificate of their educational qualifications while filling RBI Grade B Application Form 2024.

Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – (General)	• Graduation in any discipline /Equivalent technical or professional qualification with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) or Post-Graduation / Equivalent technical qualification with minimum 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) in aggregate of all semesters / years. Note: • Any such full-time course from a recognised University / Institute that is taken after Class XIIth and is at least of 3 years’ duration/ candidates possessing professional and technical qualifications which are recognised by the Government as equivalent to professional and technical graduation will be eligible for admission to the examination. • Candidates who have passed the Final Examination for Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India may also apply for the post. OR • Any such full-time course from a recognised University / Institute that is taken after graduation and is at least of 2 years’ duration / recognised by the Government as equivalent to post graduation will be eligible for admission to the examination.
Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DEPR	• Essential: a. A Master’s Degree in Economics / Econometrics / Quantitative Economics / Mathematical Economics / Integrated Economics Course/ Finance, with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognised Indian or Foreign University /Institute. OR b. PGDM/ MBA Finance with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognised Indian or Foreign University /Institute. OR c. Master’s Degree in Economics in any of the sub-categories of economics i.e. agricultural/ business/ developmental/ applied, etc., with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognised Indian or Foreign University /Institute d. (i) Candidates having Master’s Degree with Research/Teaching experience at a recognized Indian/Foreign University/ Institute will be eligible for relaxation in upper age limit to the extent of a number of years of such experience subject to a maximum of three years. For experience, probationary period will not be reckoned.
Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DSIM	Essential: a. A Master’s Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/ Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur/ Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters / years. OR b. Master’s Degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters / years and one year post graduate diploma in Statistics or related subjects from an Institute of repute. OR c. M. Stat. Degree of Indian Statistical Institute with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate of all semesters / years. OR d. Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) jointly offered by ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years.

RBI Grade B Selection Process 2024

Every year, a large number of candidates apply for RBI Recruitment 2024 for Grade B posts. To make the selection of eligible candidates easier, authorities follow a three-stage selection process. The candidates selected for various Grade B posts have to undergo a prelims exam, mains exam, and an interview. 

1. Prelims Exam:- The first phase of the selection process involves a prelims exam for 200 marks, candidates are required to score minimum qualifying marks.

2. Mains Exam:- Shortlisted candidates will appear for a mains exam specific for each post, and includes three papers.

3. Interview:- The candidates’ final selection is based on an interview round of 75 marks. Only the candidates passing prelims and mains examination will appear for a final selection round.

RBI Grade B Salary 2024

The Pay Scale for the RBI Grade B Officer is Rs. 55,200-2850 (9)-80850-EB-2850 (2)-86550-3300 (4)-99750 (16 years). Candidates will have a Basic Pay of Rs. 55,200/- in which he/she will get an increment of Rs. 2850/- till nine years of their service. Apart from the Basic Pay, multiple allowances such as Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Family Allowance, Telephone Allowance, Conveyance Allowance, etc. are also provided to candidates post they are joining the post of Officer in RBI.
