OTET Notification 2024 Out, Online Registration Starts from 24 June
OTET Notification 2024 Out : The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, Cuttack has announced the complete schedule for the Odisha TET 2024 exam along with releasing the OTET notification 2024 on 21 June 2024. As per the schedule, BSE will start accepting online applications from interested and eligible candidates from 24 June 2024 and after the registration process is completed, OTET 2024 Paper 1 and 2 will be conducted on 9 August 2024.
The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) is conducted in offline mode to assess the eligibility of candidates as primary and upper primary teachers and candidates have to pass the exam with minimum qualifying marks. To qualify for OTET, it is mandatory to secure at least 60% marks for general category and 50% marks for OBC/SC/ST category.
OTET Notification 2024
A short notification with all the important dates has been released by the board for Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET 2024). Candidates who wish to appear for the OTET Exam 2024 should complete their preparation for the exam to be held on 9th August 2024. OTET Exam 2024 Summary

OTET Notification 2024- Important Dates
The complete schedule has been announced officially along with OTET Notification 2024 on 21st June 2024. As per the schedule, the link for online application will be active from 24th June 2024 to 5th July 2024 and the application fee can be submitted till 6th July 2024. The offline OTET Exam is to be conducted on 9th August 2024.

OTET 2024 Eligibility
Though Odisha TET is an eligibility test, however, there are certain eligibility criteria which candidates must have to follow while filling their OTET Application Form 2024. There is no specific age limit for OTET Exam but minimum education qualification is required. Below we have discussed OTET Eligibility 2024 for primary and upper primary teachers.
Eligibility Criteria for Paper-I (Primary Teacher for Classes I to V)
- Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
- Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), following NCTE regulations.
- Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- Graduation and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
Eligibility Criteria for Paper-II (Upper Primary Teacher for Classes VI to VIII)
- Graduation and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with NCTE regulations.
- Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Higher Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and a 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
OTET Application Form 2024
The application link for filling the Odisha TET Application Form 2024 will be made available from 24th June 2024 onwards at www.bseodisha.ac.in. The candidates holding the minimum education qualification and interested in the eligibility test for primary and upper primary teacher post must have to submit the applications online till 5th July 2024.
