NEET UG Revised Result 2024

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the updated scorecards on its official website. Recent media reports suggest that the NTA is yet to release the final scores for NEET UG 2024. This delay has been caused by a Supreme Court order addressing a disputed physics question that required the merit list to be redrawn. NEET Result 2024 Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced on July 23 that the NEET UG 2024 revised results will be available within two days.

In the initial results released on June 4, 67 students shared the top rank. However, the Supreme Court, based on the recommendation of an expert committee from IIT-Delhi, has made it mandatory that only one correct option be accepted for the disputed question. NEET Result 2024 This change will affect the marks of around 4.2 lakh students who had selected the previously accepted answer, bringing down the number of top scorers from 61 to an estimated 17.

NEET UG 2024 Important Dates

Applications for NEET UG 2024 were invited from 9th February to 9th March 2024. The NEET UG written exam was conducted on 5th May and the re-examination was conducted on 23rd June 2024 for 1563 students. The NEET UG result was declared on 4th June and the revised result was declared on 30th June 2024. On 20th July 2024, NTA declared the centre-wise and city-wise result following the directions of the Supreme Court. NTA has declared the NEET revised result and score card on 26th July 2024.

Why did NTA release the revised result of NEET UG 2024?

On July 23, the Supreme Court rejected requests for re-examination due to allegations of paper leak and other malpractices. The court said there was no evidence to suggest that the results of the entire NEET-UG 2024 were compromised, nor was there a widespread breach in the integrity of the exam.

Students can access their revised scorecards from exam.nta.ac.in/NEET. However, this link does not include the scorecards to be released today. The existing link on the NTA website provides the re-examination results for 1,563 candidates who needed to re-download their mark sheets. Following the Supreme Court’s direction, the final results are expected to be announced later today.

The third scorecard of this year’s undergraduate medical entrance exam will be released. The preliminary scorecard was released on June 4 along with the results. After the re-examination involving 1,563 candidates, the NTA had to update the scorecards of all participants. The upcoming final result and scorecard will be released for the third time, which will contain the details of the candidates’ All India Rank and marks.
