Candidates with BA/B.Sc with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed degree from a recognized university.

JTET-Paper II (For Elementary/Upper Stage- Class VI-VIII)

Graduation with 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year D.Ed

Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) with 50%.

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed)/4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

Passed B.A.(Education)/B.Sc(Education)/B.Ed(Special Education) with 50% marks.

Note: To be eligible for the JTET exam, it is now mandatory for the final candidates to have passed 10th/12th from a recognized institute of Jharkhand state. Along with this, they should have knowledge of the culture, language and environment of Jharkhand. Reserved categories are exempted from this rule.
