India Post GDS Result 2024 Released

India Post Office GDS Result 2024 has been released in PDF format, carrying the roll numbers of the shortlisted candidates who have qualified for the document verification round. This is the first merit list. India Post GDS Result and Merit List PDF has been released circle-wise on 19th August 2024 at https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in/. Since the first merit list has been released, the shortlisted candidates will now have to undergo the physical verification process and submit an undertaking regarding the authenticity of their application details, for which information will be shared soon.

Candidates whose names have been listed in the Post Office GDS Result 2024 PDF, which has been released circle-wise, will have to appear for the document verification round to get the final appointment to the posts of Gramin Dak Sevak in their respective circles. The recruitment process aimed at filling 44,228 GDS posts, now the first merit list PDF has been released for some regions. The GDS Result 2024 Merit List PDF in PDF format has been released circle-wise/state-wise along with the registration number of the shortlisted candidates to appear for document verification. To check your GDS Result 2024, you need an active internet connection as the merit list is uploaded online in PDF format. Follow the steps given below to check GDS Result and Merit List 2024 from the official website-

• Find Candidate Corner on the left side of the homepage.
• Now under Candidate Corner, find “GDS Online Engagement Schedule, July-2024 Shortlisted Candidates”.

• Click on the circle you have applied for.
• Download the first merit list PDF for your respective circle.

GDS Result 2024 Selection Process

Applicants will be selected for appointment on the basis of merit list prepared by the system. The merit list will be prepared by converting marks/grades/points obtained in 10th class secondary school examination of approved board into marks (as mentioned in sub para- iii to ix below) and aggregating them into percentage with accuracy of 4 decimals. Passing in all subjects is mandatory as per the respective approved board norms.

For applicants who have marks or both marks and grades/points in their 10th class secondary school examination mark sheet, the aggregate marks will be calculated taking into account only the marks obtained in all compulsory and optional/elective subjects (excluding additional subjects, if any). This will ensure that applicants with higher marks are selected.

For applicants with only subject wise grades, marks for each subject (compulsory and optional subjects but not additional subjects) will be obtained by applying a multiplication factor of 9.5 in the following manner.

Please note the following information: Candidates whose names are listed in the GDS Result 2024 PDF, which will be released circle-wise, must participate in the document verification round to ensure final appointment to the posts of Gramin Dak Sevak in their respective circles. Those who are shortlisted must get their documents verified by the divisional head given against their name. Candidates must carry the following documents for DV.

• 10th/SSC/SSLC original mark memo of the candidates
• Caste or Community Certificate (for reserved category candidates)
• 60 days computer knowledge trained certificate from a recognized institute
• Physically Handicapped Certificate (if applicable)
