The Uttar Pradesh government has constituted a three-member judicial commission to investigate the stampede during the satsang in Hathras on 3 July 2024. 121 people died in this incident. Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel issued a notification of this commission.

The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) declared Jharkhand’s mica mines ‘child labour free’ at a programme held in Koderma, Jharkhand. NCPCR Chairperson Priyank Kanungo called it the first successful attempt to clean up the supply chain of child labour in mica mining.
