BSSC CGL 2024 Eligibility

The minimum eligibility criteria in terms of education qualification and age limit are as mentioned below. The detailed eligibility will be notified with the release of official notification pdf and the same shall be updated here if any changes are observed.

BSSC CGL Notification 2024 Exam Pattern

Candidates who require appointment to various graduate level posts have to appear in the Combined Graduate Level Examination. To appear in this exam, candidates must be well aware of the marking scheme, number of questions, exam duration, etc. This CGL exam is conducted in two stages i.e. Preliminary and Main, so candidates should check the exam pattern for both these exams.

BSSC CGL Prelims Exam Pattern

The preliminary examination of BSSC CGL Vacancy 2024 will be conducted for a total of 600 marks and is qualifying in nature. Candidates can refer to points and table to get a detailed exam pattern for the prelims exam.

• There will be a total of 150 questions from General Science & Maths, General Studies, Logical Reasoning/Mental Ability/Comprehension subjects.
• All questions will be objective-type questions.
• Each question carries 4 marks i.e. candidates will get +4 for every correct answer.
• The BSSC CGL exam will be conducted for a total duration of 2 hours 15 minutes.

BSSC CGL Mains Exam

There will be two papers in BSSC CGL mains examination i.e. Paper I and Paper 2, each paper will be conducted for 2 hours & 15 minutes. Check detailed exam pattern mentioned here below.

• For both papers, marks awarded for correct answers are 4.
• Paper 1 will be conducted for a total of 400 marks and paper 2 for 600 marks.
• The minimum qualifying mark for first paper is 30%.

BSSC CGL Notification 2024 Selection Process

Selection of candidates for BSSC CGL 2024 posts is based on a two-stage selection process i.e. preliminary and mains examination. Those candidates who successfully pass both these stages will be called up for their verification of documents.

1. Preliminary Examination:- Selection of candidates for various graduate-level posts begins with a preliminary examination of 600 marks which is qualifying in nature.

2. Mains Examination:- After passing BSSC CGL prelims stage, shortlisted candidates will appear for main examination and those who clear this stage will appear for Document Verification.
